Sweet Stampin Saturday...
I'm ssssooooooooooo sorry this is late, I've had the card made for ages but I've had such a busy day that this is the first time I've had time to sit down and open the laptop. This week at Sweet Stampin the theme is "try something new"
So, my 'trying something new' is paper piecing, I have had a go once before but it was ages ago, so I thought I'd have another go. Even though its a really simple technique, I've wasted more paper on this card than any other, just couldn't get it to look right (just in case you're wondering, its the swimming costume and hair bands that are the pieces...) The image is from Tiddly Inks who are our sponsor for this week and the image is called 'going swimming'. I've chosen her because in two weeks time the Jones' are off on holiday to Turkey... can't wait. Anyway have a lovely evening and enjoy the rest of the bank holiday x

ReplyDeleteVery cute! I've tried paper piecing once and loved it- it opens up so many possibilities! Thanks for stopping by my bog too. I've been wanting to give some of these spiral and layered flowers a try but I don't tend to do a lot of floral or girly stuff since all of my scrapbooking is about a 3yr old boy and I usually make cards I can mail in a standard envelope. :)
